Dolly Parton believes that if you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything. In Washington, more than 107,000 early learners are growing their love of reading and learning through the magic of a monthly book, delivered right to their homes, from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Since Dolly’s literacy program came to life in 1995 inspired by her father’s inability to read and write, 221 million books have been mailed across the world.

"The Imagination Library has been an amazing resource to keep my children interested in reading by giving them something new each month. My kids get so excited to see new books and have new stories to listen to. My oldest is now 6 and these books have made him fall so far in love with reading that he has the third highest reading level in his grade. I am very grateful for this program and these books,” stated Mariah, mother of three children who have participated in the Imagination Library.

Imagination Library of Washington, the statewide partner of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, is deeply dedicated to getting monthly books to children from the day they are born until their fifth birthday, at no cost to the family. Our goal is to ensure ALL children under age five can build their own home library full of high-quality, age-appropriate books from the Imagination Library. We need YOUR help to make this possible!

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to inspiring good work around the globe and helping others. Please consider a donation to Imagination Library of Washington and help us get more books to young children throughout our state! With a shortfall of $2.75 million in legislative funding during the last session, it is critical we invest in this life-changing early literacy program now more than ever.

Make a donation HERE.

“Help us keep Dolly’s dream of creating early literacy book access and inspiring a love of reading alive in Washington, with a donation that creates big impact with our youngest population. The return on investment is priceless,” stated Imagination Library of Washington Executive Director, Brooke Fisher-Clark.

Thank you for helping us give Washington’s youngest children the very best start in life with a home full of books! You are changing lives, one page at a time.
